Zola steelpan - history workshop:
I have planned a 30-minute talk, presentation, and demonstration on the history of the steelpan, which I’ve successfully delivered to primary and secondary schools. I enjoy creating and delivering presentations on the subject as I love bringing awareness to the instrument’s origins. (Some people have never even seen a steelpan before in person!)
This workshop works great for school culture days and black history month.
I am fully DBS-checked and can provide PLI insurance if required. I do not let the children play on my drum, however, I can point you in the right direction if you are after steelpans for the children to physically learn. Scroll further for useful links.
